Adventures in Wales
Went to wales Last weekend arrived exhausted . we spent the weekend with some friends in their posh caravan , we are used to roughing it sleeping in lay bys. the object of our excursion was to go to the Small holder show and buy chickens check out the green stalls and learn something new.
This of course we did, we learnt to peg and stick weave . buying chickens was a different matter I had genned up on buff Orpingtons and of course somebody beat me to them so Ross Cobbs were duly bought instead(smelly ones at that)
We stayed at a nice farm with rolling hills and savage sheep with a taste for human flesh. yes you did read right , when we bumped into the farmer his daughter was in a wheel-chair and her leg was in plaster, it seemed that an overprotective sheep had bitten her I did not ask for the gory details barr the fact that it was a mother sheep protecting her young well the Little mite of a farmers daughter who could easily blow away in a wisp of wind was savaged by one of the balls of cotton wool that we see when we drive about the countryside. Next time I nip out of the car for a tiddle in a field I will be care full and watch out for dangerous sheep.
just thinking, there has been no recent sitings of the beast of Bodmin Moor , maybe the sheep have reeked their revenge.
The motley crew above are respectable working citizens and not your hippy type traveller . We had the obligatory rain well known to the Welsh, but Sunday proved to be very beautiful and sunny.Saturday night we decided to go out for a meal but this was going to prove more difficult than usual. Whilst looking for some where to eat, we inadvertently drove through a firing range in Wales, which proved to be quite hairy, auntie Sue became quite distort by the whole event, and wanted to go home, confirmed by the soldiers on the side of the road loading their weapons. eventually we finished up with a chinese, in the town that we had just come from, hey ho that's life, a near death experience makes you very hungry, after all it could be your last meal.
